With the first half drawing to a close, we all caught up – with each other and the bar – and I wandered down to the VIP area to take a look around Holly Revell’s Erotic DARKROOM Encounters exhibition. Her work is still up for any one who has not yet seen this lady’s photography.

The images were taken at an Erotic Meet workshop over Easter and now hang on the walls where they were taken. They’re gorgeous on so many levels. One, because they just are. Physically I mean, just beautiful to look at. Two, because it reminds me of a very sexy weekend when these were taken. Three, they come to life when viewed with a torch. So the ‘still’ photographs almost emulate the experience of creating them, which you can find out more about here.

It was fabulous to see all of the gorgeous faces again at Erotic Meet on Friday!

This month there were even more new folk than ever and the night felt like one of our earlier Meets, giggling and gossiping on the sexy circle sofa.

The delicious Flirty Bertie plus Ishtars Revenge, along with her gorgeous friends were some of the first through the door and after reading Ishtars recently uploaded work which could spark controversial debate on the subject of consent – and after not having had the time to comment on it yet on Erotic Meet – it was refreshing to chat openly about rape in literature. It was also the perfect conversation starter for a group of mixed media professionals!

I had the pleasure of being intriduced for the very first time to this lot too: The HOT fire trained Red Sarah, the fun fun FUN Diva Hollywood and Steve Darling, the simply stunning Debutante Dilettante, the charming Nickajordan plus his beautiful lady, the sexy crazy sexiness that is DaddysBangGirl and yes IslandB_I_G too… And I know I’m going to miss someone and I’m only at the beginning of the night!

Erotic artists Fuschia and Shay Shay brought a new lovely with them too. I’m not sure what name she’d like here though so I’m going to call her ‘L’ and ‘L’ was the winner of some hot prizes including the game Tease – hot off the press! – and a ticket for two to the World Burlesque Games… Tonight!

We also had a newbie to the stage. After a powerful performance by the man who makes my knees dirty, Friday AM and some sultry, seated and truly sexy story telling from The Artful J, the gentleman (if he is indeed a gentleman) S P Howarth aired and graced us with lots of perfectly worded filth. Innocent Loverboy was a gem as ever, he really is an angel disguised as a very naughty boy (or is that the other way around?) Plus to finish the set of smut on stage was the incredibly funny and yummy Ernesto Sarezale of the Velvet Tongue. Phew!

The prizes were drawn. A massive thank you to Sh! Erotic Emporium, to TENGA Global, to Chaz Royal and to Tease Matt! Oh and Domsigns, you have a collection to make

The music went up, the banter continued and it really was so much fun to spend the night amongst so many beautiful and talented people!

The Beginning – a bit of background.

I met Rebecca late last year – at an Erotic Meet of course – and I was instantly drawn to her big smile.   I’m not what you’d call a spiritual person, though I believe and live by much of what ‘spiritual people’ do.   I simply see it all in a logical light.   So, I’ve always been intrigued by tantric practices on the level of physical discovery and expanding the mind.   I’ve never been brave enough to go to any workshop though as I’ve worried about undermining people with my own beliefs or being coerced into a practice that is not true to my values.

When I met Rebecca however, straight away I could comfortably chat to her about how I felt and bless the gorgeous lady, she listened, understood and I just knew that I had found the person to teach me more about sexuality on a level that has always interested me and yet, so far passed me by.

She’s AMAZING! And my fuck is she sexy!

Again, I’m not sure my words can explain exactly what it means to find someone so genuinely kind and sexy and fun that you can simply open up to.

The first day

Not knowing what to expect and feeling incredibly excited because I knew that whatever Rebecca had to offer on the topic of ‘pleasure’ was going to be incredible, I found my way, along with John Yossarian, to the venue and was immediately welcomed with a massive hug!

There were lots of faces, some tentative – about to experience something new like myself – others were more relaxed, having been on past workshops with Rebecca and all were smiling expectantly.

After introducing ourselves I realised that I was not the only person unsure of the ‘spiritual connection’ and as it turns out, it soon became a non-issue.   No one was offended, Rebecca joked about ‘Woo Woo’ language and in fact, the mix of people was perfect, non-threatening and we were all able to relate each exercise in our own unique way whilst translating Woo Woo into something we understood whether Woo or Woohoo.

Yep, me too. Sorry, I did warn you this was going to be difficult for me to explain.

Anyahoo, the first day’s exercises all brought us together as a group, teaching confidence, the beauty in diversity, self and mutual respect whilst helping us all to discover and understand boundaries.

There were times when I felt challenged by what was asked and of course, no one was asked to do anything that they did not want to do, though we were encouraged to try everything and I’m glad that I did.   I was also surprised to learn at the end of the day that other’s who seemed entirely confident throughout the day were also challenged at some point.   I think we all were.   We all also overcame whatever it was that initially made us feel less comfortable by being able to ‘translate and react.’

I should say a little something at this point about Rebecca’s practice.   It is based on tantra, ancient and modern. It also holds a whole host of other practices and is, I believe, a unique blend.   She teaches non-gender methods of tuning and building sexuality.

This meant that some people in the group, gay and straight, found an initial flicker of conflict.  However, I think, knowing that they were not alone with these thoughts, being able to tell the group, without judgement and being in the company of Rebecca, with her ease of positive nature allowed us to all become more comfortable in ourselves and with each other quickly therefore opening us up to more opportunities.

During the day, when I looked around, I noticed the beautiful differences between all of us, the way we moved, the way we each held ourselves, the way we ‘saw’ and responded and these differences were celebrated as we took the time to learn each other.

We moved on to some simple touch during the afternoon – after a picnic which was also enlightening… and delicious.   It was a time to really relax and enjoy giving and receiving pleasure without any other thoughts rumbling the brain.

On reflection, without sounding like any kind of saint of which those who know me know that I am not, I realise that I love to give pleasure.   I especially take a huge amount of gratification in cock worship for example and yet often find it difficult to let go and simply lay back to receive.   I forget to remember that they are probably getting just as much enjoyment from my pleasure as I am when I pleasure them.   So unless I’m smothering them or I’m tied tightly, I sometimes rush my orgasm which actually stunts their indulgence as well as my own.
